The mouth-watering seafood menus run from late morning through to late evening with a fixed price lunch option and chalk board fish-specials, not to mention fresh shellfish such as scallops, oysters, cockles and clams. The seafood couldn't be any fresher since it is sourced from the boats and the fish market below. It's then treated with care, flair and imagination before being delivered promptly to your table. Why not relax? Diners, drinks in hand, are afforded a spectacular view of historical, industrious and captivating whilst they wait.
Choose from our carefully crafted seasonal menus, be it a light lunch, a summer Crab or Lobster, or even a full 5 course a la carte dining experience all washed down with your choice of chilled-wine. Children are welcome and catered for and rest-assured we use the finest wild, foraged and organic ingredients for natural, flavour-full and healthy menu choices.
Not everyone you'll want to invite appreciates seafood, so we also cater in part for carnivores and vegetarians with sustainable local game and foods such as wild garlic, sorrel and foraged mushrooms etc. We put as much love into these dishes as we do with our fish so none of your party will feel short changed. The idea behind the restaurant came from the often frustrated passer-by to the fish market who were looking for a local restaurant to eat in. The empty roof space of the fish market was thus utilised and about Seafood Restaurant was born.
Fast forward 5 years owners have retired and sold the restaurant, back into the family, to their eldest son his wife. With a new look and a new menu the two partners have embarked on their own journey of discovery into the turbulent world of the restaurateur!
